Lukas Vesely is a highly skilled and extremely talented touring and recording musician, composer, and music educator. He has extensive performance experience playing acoustic and electric bass, as well as, keyboards in various styles of music such as jazz, classical, reggae, funk, afro-cuban, and rock.
Over the last 25 years, Lukas has had the blessing and great pleasure of performing, teaching, and recording along side innovative musicians and artists from various musical genres such as Richard Stoltzman, Pinetop Perkins, Grachan Moncur III (Jackie Maclean, Herbie Hancock), Ndugu Chancellor (Michael Jackson, Weather Report), Richie Cole, Alex Acuna (Weather Report), Bob Moses, (Pat Metheny, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Dave Libman, Steve Swallow), David Pomeranz, Taylor Eigsti, Dana Stephens, Yosvanny Terry, Peter Stoltzman, Dafnis Prieto, Deantoni Parks, Dana Leong, Jessica Sanchez, Secondhand Serenade and electronic music composer/producer, David Last.

He consistently tours in America, Asia, and Europe and has performed in rock clubs, jazz festivals, theaters, and concert halls all over the world. Some of his more notable recent works includes performances at the 2017 Breda Jazz Festival in Holland with Steve Lucky and the Rhumba Bums and a 2019 Asian tour in China and Taiwan with the San Jose Jazz Collective featuring innovative modern jazz guitarist and amazing music educator, Hristo Vitchev.
In January of 2020, he had the opportunity to travel to Italy to perform with the illustrious pop opera tenor, Pasquale Esposito on his third PBS special that is scheduled to air at the end of this year. He also wrote and published his first book entitled, Musical Meditations.
Currently in the year of 2021, he is writing a new book that will be part of a method book series outlining techniques and melodic content that is very useful for the modern bass player. He is also working on new musical projects with his long time friend and world renowned jazz saxophonist, Dayna Stephens.
